The Grandma Bag Effect

I have this thing with big purses
I love them

The bigger the purse, the more crap I can fit in it
On an average day, there could be a number of things in my bag:

• Wallet
• Check book
• Coupons
• Period stuff
• Pen
• Chapstick
• Cell phone
• Mints/ gum
• Sun glasses
  

But as the size of my bag grows, the list could begin to include:

• Deodorant
  
• Book
• Game boy
• Knitting
• CD's
• Journal
• Sewing Kit
• Candy
• Water
• Snack food
• Jacket/ Sweater

And if im in school, then the list will include:

• Textbooks
• Notebooks
• Calculator
• Binders
• Sketch book
• Art crap (wires, colored pencils, etc.)
  

I can attest that at one time or another
I have had all of those things in my bag at once

When I was little,
I used to find it amazing that my grandma seemed
to always have what we needed in her purse

I suppose it could be called "The Grandma Bag Effect"

Best Smell in the World

Ever since i was little, i have loved the smell of old books
That musty library/ old book store smell
that you get a whiff of when you crack open an old book

I used to collect really old books
From thrift stores and garage sales and places like that
It didnt really matter what was written in them, they were way above my level anyway
My mom used to get pissed at me for not buying children books that i could read
I just wanted that smell to be around
Wanted my room to smell like a library

It's comforting

Pin Up

I've always wanted to be one of those classically beautiful pin up models
Or rather, look like one
I'm not sure if i would want to actually be a model
(Or rather,
I love food too much and am too lazy to be in shape)

But
I recently have been obsessed with Rockabilly/Vintage pin up clothing
Like Bernie Dexter, etc.

When i get the money
I'm busting out the sexy heels and pencil skirts
and other good things like that

But the thing is,
I say that
But when it comes down to it
I'll probably spend the money on stuff for my Pigs

Plus
I don't have time to try and be sexy
I've got more important things to do
Not reading or playing game boy
*cough cough*

Trapper Keepers for Lyfe

So whatever happened to Trapper Keepers?



I used to have a collection of my very own Trapper Keepers when i was little
It used to make me so sad because my school wouldn't let us use them
So my collection just sat at home collecting dust, just waiting for the day when i could use them
My favorites were a Mickey Mouse one, and then also a Lion King one that had Timone and Pumba on the cover
It was pretty pimp

Looking back on it, i never had any use for them for anything
If i could bring it to school i would have just put like my paper dolls and comic books and fake money in the folders
Showed it off to my friends, but thats about it

Now, however, that they are no longer in style is when they would come in handy
Fuck using a briefcase,
Im going to carry a Trapper Keeper
Thats professional, right?
